Ours
Rent, lights, groceries, wifi, the stuff that keeps the address standing. Every paycheck feeds this first, in proportion to what each person earns.
A money plan for three or more
Extra chairs. Same house.
Three grown-ups. One house. Too many “I’ll get the next one.” This is the Clubhouse Plan with extra chairs: one shared pot, a private pocket for each person, a fair split when pay is not equal, and a 20-minute talk that actually ends.

A couple can fake a system for a while. Three adults cannot. Someone always “forgets.” Someone always covered dinner. Someone always feels watched when they buy shampoo.
The Bigger Clubhouse treats the house as a club with more members. The roof gets funded first. Each grown-up keeps a private pocket. Uneven pay is written into the split, not argued in the kitchen.
The pots
Shared
Rent, lights, groceries, wifi, the stuff that keeps the address standing. Every paycheck feeds this first, in proportion to what each person earns.
Private
One cup per grown-up. Hobbies, dates, the ugly sneakers. Once it lands here, the table does not get a vote.
The talk
Once a month. What changed, what’s coming, who is short. Then it ends. Nobody gets to reopen it at midnight over leftovers.
Two rules
1. Fund the house before you fund the self.
Ours is filled from every paycheck, scaled to income. The highest earner puts in more. Pride does not get a column.
2. Private pockets stay private.
No commentary on the takeout. No forensic audit of a birthday. If the house is funded, the rest is nobody else’s business.
What you get
Open it Friday. Set the shares Saturday. Hold the twenty-minute talk Sunday. By Monday the group chat is about groceries, not IOUs.

Twenty minutes, once a month. What changed, what’s coming, what stays private.
Words for uneven income, a partner plus a roommate, and “I thought they paid that.”
No secret cards. No rotating tab. What to do when one pocket blows and the rent is due.
“A 20-minute talk that actually ends.”
For partners, roommates, or a mix sharing one fridge.
Yes. Ours is funded by paycheck share, not headcount. The higher earners put more into the house. Every adult still gets a private pocket.
No. Couples plus a housemate, siblings, three friends, a parent moving back in. If more than two adults share the bills, this is the extra-chairs version.
Yes — use The Clubhouse Plan. Or take the bundle if you want both on the shelf.
No. It is a plan you run with the accounts you already have. The work is the agreement, not another login.
Ready when the house is
One download. One shared pot. A private pocket each. A twenty-minute talk you can stand to have again next month.
